I do try hard to prevent errors from appearing in my printed patterns but sometimes they slip through. I am sorry for any confusion you may experience while knitting as a result of this.
Corrections are below under pattern name.
Moonshadow Stole :
The beads required should read "580", not "518" on the front of the pattern.
Waterlily Socks:
Under “Waterlily Stem and Flower” instructions, Rnds 1-8 should read as follows:
Rnd 1: **K14, 2/1 LC, k15** Repeat between **s once more around.
Rnd 2: **K15, k1tbl, B, k1tbl, k15** Repeat between **s once more around.
Rnd 3: **K15, k2tbl, k15** Repeat between **s once more around.
Rnds 4-7: Repeat Rnds 2 & 3 two more times
Rnd 8: **K14, k2tog, yo, ssk, k14** Repeat between **s once more around.
Waves in the Square:
In Chart A, Row 10 shows an ssk 6 squares past the yarnover at the beginning of the row. This square should be blank. The written instructions for this row are correct in the pattern.
Journey Cable Socks:
In Baby Leg Chart, Row 13 has a blank square (knit st) that should contain a dash (purl st). Count over 15 squares from the right, just after four knit sts.
The chart key for the Heel/Instep charts is incorrect for the Purl symbol. That line should read: Purl 1 stitch on RS rows, knit 1 stitch on WS rows.
Under "Cuff", the line "Repeat this round 5 times more." should appear under instructions for large sportweight / medium fingering weight size.
Diamond Fantasy Shawl or Scarf:
Row 26 should read: BO 5 sts, leave last st on right needle, k5, pm, (yo, k1) 2x, (yo, ssk) 2x, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, (k2tog, yo) 2x, (k1, yo) 2x, pm, k2, yo, k2tog, yo, k2 (32 sts)
Gothic Leaf Stole:
In a few copies of the printed pattern, on Page 2, under “Gothic Leaf Lace Pattern: ”, pattern is missing written instructions for Row 20. Pattern should read:
Row 20: K4, *(yo, k2tog) 2 times, k1, (ssk, yo) 2 times, k7. Repeat from * across. End last repeat k4.
Repeat these 20 rows for pattern.
Mary Ann's Cashmere & Pearls Lace Scarf:
In the 1/2006 version of the pattern, charts did not satisfactorily show the beaded purl stitches, which should have been seen as a purl symbol with a gray background. Printing was too light and the symbol looks like a regular purl stitch with a white background. Substitute charts are available upon request.
In an early edition of this pattern, Row 11 is in error. The line should read: “K2, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1, yo, k2 - 13 sts” Chart A is also in error for this row.
Shetland Garden Faroese Shawl:
On Page 2 under “Begin Charts”, the row designations are incorrect for Charts A and B. They should be written: “Work Rows 8 - 29 as follows...” (for Chart A) and “Work Rows 30 - 49 as follows...” (for Chart B).
Also on page 2, under "Begin Charts", paragraph 4 should read:
Work Rows 50 - 73 as follows: syif, k2, pm, Chart C, center stitch, Chart C reversed, pm, Center Panel Chart, pm, Chart C, center stitch, Chart C reversed, pm, k3. When reversing Chart C, do not reverse decreases, but knit exactly as indicated. NOTE: On Rows 52 and 72 of Chart C, work a k2tog decrease after center yarnover stitch.
In paragraph 5, the note beginning “On Row 80 of Chart D...” should be omitted.
In some early versions of the pattern, Chart G is missing one symbol on Row 134 (1st row of chart). Also, There should be a symbol for “slip1, k2tog, psso” in the 4th sqaure from the left, between two yarnover symbols. It should be a mirrow image to the right hand side of the chart.
In Chart G, there are 19 repeats of the rose trellis lace pattern, not 18 as stated.
Follow the Leader Faroese Shawl:
Bottom Lace Band Instructions and Chart are 2 stitches off correct line count. This affects Rows 158 to 178.
Some early versions of this pattern contain this mistake. If your pattern is one of them, please contact me for a reprinted pattern, or I will be happy to email you the corrected chart and instructions.
Egyptian Beaded Wristlets and Rings:
Page 4, under “Instructions for Child’s Narrow Wristlet”, Row 4 should read:
Row 4(RS): K2, place matching bead on yo st loop, return st to left needle and knit, k2
____________________
Page 5, under “Instructions for Ring”, Row 2 should read:
Row 2 (RS): K1, place bead on st, return st to left needle and knit, k1
Spiral Beaded Neckpieces:
Page 6, under “Instructions for Round Pouch Neckpiece”, Row 15 should read:
Row 15: K2, (place bead on yo st loop and knit the st, k2,) 3 times, place bead on yo st loop and knit - 14 sts
Victorian Shoulderette:
Page 3, under “Lace Border”, beginning paragraphs should read:
NOTE: Lace border is knitted sideways to the shoulderette body.
To start, transfer the last knitted stitch of the shawl to a double point needle and cast on one additional stitch by backwards loop method.
From this point, the rows are made by turning this needle. WS rows are knit away from the shoulderette and begin with slipping 1 stitch purlwise. RS rows are knit toward the shoulderette and are ended by knitting one stitch of the border with one stitch of the shawl (k2tog).
