This symmetrical lace scarf is worked from one end to the other without grafting or provisional cast on. Instructions are included for placing beads with a crochet hook and making bead or yarn tassels. Pattern contains 6 pages and is both written and charted. One ball of kid mohair/silk yarn is required for the scarf.

Samples used Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% super kid mohair, 30% silk, 25 g/229 yards) and Handmaiden Angel Hair (70% kid mohair, 30% nylon, 100 g/800 m)

In the 1/2006 version of the pattern (which was then called Mary Ann’s Cashmere & Pearls Scarf), charts did not satisfactorily show the beaded purl stitches, which should have been seen as a purl symbol with a gray background. Printing was too light and the symbol looks like a regular purl stitch with a white background. Substitute charts are available upon request.
In an early edition of this pattern, Row 11 is in error. The line should read: “K2, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1, yo, k2 - 13 sts” Chart A is also in error for this row.
