An adaptation of Elizabeth Zimmerman’s adult mitten pattern sized for a small child (approximately 3-5 years). Clear directions for including a stripe across the mitten palm and thumb are included.

Child’s Simple Striped Mittens
Worsted weight yarn, approximately 100 yards.
7” around the palm, 6” long from cast on row to tip
20 stitches = 4 inches over stockinette stitch
- US 3 (3.25 mm) double pointed needles (or size to achieve correct gauge)
- Stitch holder or thread
- Tapestry needle
