This top-down shawl features traditional Faroese shaping at the shoulder and back neck, producing a wonderful shoulder-hugging fit that stays on. The center panel consists of graduated lace motifs which mirror the bands of lace at shoulder and bottom border. This shawl is worked entirely in garter stitch, which makes it ideal for handpainted yarns. Although this pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, it would be equally wonderful in any weight, any gauge - expect a smaller or larger result with thinner or thicker yarn.
