River Rock Scarf...Stream of consciousness knitting.
This heavily beaded scarf is an exercise in stream of consciousness knitting, Follow your imagination as you add beaded “rocks” to the ribbed stream… or you can follow any of the four charts provided. Beads must be prestrung; pattern provides instructions and hints for bead management. Pattern is both written out and charted, with blank charts included for your own designs, and consists of 6 pages. This pattern was first seen in the book No Sheep for You by Amy Singer.

Infinitely variable! Or, if following charted patterns, approx. 5 (6.5)” wide, 60 (50)” long
24 stitches and 22 rows = 4” over k2, p2 rib, unblocked and stretched slightly
- US 7 (4.5 mm) 24” circular needle or pair of straights, or needle size to obtain gauge
- Seed beads, size 6/0 - 1,128 (696, 850, 1,536) or your own number
- Dental floss threader or big eye bead needle to string beads onto yarn
